My Story
I’ve always been fascinated by animals and behavior, but it was Paisley, gifted to me just before my 11th birthday, who introduced me to the world of dog training. She came with severe anxiety and reactivity, so I had to learn how to adapt, communicate, and build trust with a dog who didn’t make it easy. That process changed the entire direction of my life.
Since then, my path has taken me through rescue work, sport training, board & train programs, and even performing with stunt dogs on the road. Along the way, I saw a lot of things in the dog industry that didn’t sit right with me, practices that prioritized quick results over actually understanding the dog in front of them. That’s what pushed me to build something different: a business rooted in real education, for dogs and the people who love them.
How I Train
I’m a balanced trainer, which means I don’t rely on one method. I use whatever actually works for the dog and the owner in front of me, play, positive reinforcement, structure, and clear communication, including knowing when a little pressure, on the dog or the owner, actually helps them grow.
My favorite part of the job is troubleshooting. Every dog is a different puzzle, and I love helping a team find real clarity, whether that’s on a leash walk, in the backyard, or out doing a sport together. I train it all: puppy foundations, everyday manners, behavior work, and sport, with a particular soft spot for herding breeds and the “difficult” dogs.
When you start working with me, you gain more than a trainer, you gain your biggest cheerleader. My priority is making sure you and your dog feel supported and understood!
