Zephyr

Zephyr is my third sport dog. A Border Collie/Whippet mix with the absolute biggest heart. He came home as a puppy last year, and at just under two years old, he’s already become an amazing demo dog & key part of my training and everyday life.

While he’s full of zoomies, silliness, and sunshine, Zephyr is also a very intense dog while still being much softer than my previous others. He’s more sensitive and doesn’t respond well to conflict. That’s pushed me to really think outside the box; to add more clarity, get more creative, and improve communication in my training approach. He’s helped me grow in ways I didn’t expect, and has made me a better trainer for dogs who are incredibly driven but still needs a gentler hand.

Right now, we’re exploring everything from disc and agility to scent work and dock diving, and he’s loving every minute. Still very much a puppy, Zephyr has an incredibly bright future ahead of him—and I can’t wait to see where it leads us.
